All of our events are open to the public, unless otherwise noted, which is not often.
A partner is NOT required, unless otherwise noted, which is not often.
You may drop-in to ANY class at ANY time, except for some Tuesday series classes.
Our classes teach appropriate material for each level noted. You can start at ANY time to join a class! The more often you attend, the more progress you make, and the faster you can move to a higher level.

TUESDAY JULY 22: Boogie @ Rendezvous

Boogie in Bethesda West Coast Swing Night is at Rendezvous tonight and next Tuesday while their space gets its annual summer cleaning! The Womans Club is closing for 2 weeks for structural repairs and parking lot resurfacing. It's an old building and we want to keep her in good shape for the many years of dancing to come! Barry Durand and Rendezvous have kindly offered to change their schedule for two weeks to give our Tuesday crowd a place to dance for the rest of July..

The schedule and cover charge will remain the same. US Open swing Champion Barry Durand will teach. DC's own Swing Daddy Ken Roesel will DJ. It's gonna be a great party!

7:30-newcomer West Coast Swing - Starter step, push break, left side pass, right side underarm turn.... for those who are not yet comfortable with the basic rhythms and patterns of west coast swing. Taught by Amanda
7:30- intermediate patterns - Variations of the whip, tuck turn and other basic WCS patterns taught in 32 to 48 beat phrases for ease of dancing. Taught by Barry
8:15- novice West Coast Swing - Tuck turn, left side underarm turn, closed whip, basket whip... This is for beginners that feel comfortable with the swing rhythm. Taught by Amanda
8:15- advanced concepts - Anything from more interesting and difficult patterns to musical interpretation, syncopations and styling. Taught by Barry

9:00 till 12:00 Dance Party.

7:00pm to 10:00pm Line Dance Night with DJ Shakey and additional lessons with Ray and Barry. Just $12 per person for the whole night.

THURSDAY JULY 24: Persian Belly Dancing at 6:15pm with Souzan. $12 per class. -- NO BELLY DANCE TONIGHT as Souzan is out of town. See you on Saturday!
